Overview
The YES Awards recognises high-school students who have demonstrated sustained, meaningful community service and evidence-based leadership. The awards use an independent judging process to evaluate the depth and authenticity of each student's contribution. Nominations are typically submitted by educators, mentors or community leaders who can attest to the student's service.
What this opportunity recognises
High-school students with sustained community service. Minimum service duration requires verification — see notes.
Who can apply
Eligibility includes high-school student status, sustained community service, and evidence-based leadership. The minimum service-duration requirement is currently inconsistent across official YES Awards pages (one page references at least 12 months, while the FAQ and judging page reference 18 months). This must be confirmed with the award organiser before relying on either figure.
Nomination vs self-application
Nominations are submitted by a third party (educator, mentor or community leader). The nominator must provide evidence of the student's sustained community service and leadership. Students cannot self-nominate.
