SelexIQ Impact

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains what data SelexIQ Impact collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it — with particular care for students aged 14–18.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, and role (student, parent, mentor, NGO partner, school partner, admin) when you register.
  • Application data: information you provide in an application or Fit Review booking — student name and age, school, year group, interests, motivation, and parent/guardian contact details.
  • Project data: project proposals, milestones, reflections, and evidence files you create or upload through the platform.
  • Consent records: parent/guardian consent decisions for programme participation, project activities, photography, and publication of work.

2. How we use your data

  • To process applications and programme enrolments.
  • To assign mentors and coordinate with NGO and school partners.
  • To track project progress, review milestones, and verify evidence.
  • To send notifications about your project, milestones, and mentor feedback.
  • To publish approved project stories on the public website — only with explicit parent/guardian consent.

3. Student safeguarding

Because SelexIQ Impact serves students aged 14–18, we apply enhanced protections:

  • No student contact details (email, phone, address) are ever displayed on public pages.
  • Precise personal locations are never published; only general impact areas are shown.
  • Private evidence files are stored securely and accessible only to authorised reviewers.
  • Parent/guardian consent is required before any student work is published publicly.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with:

  • The student's assigned mentor, for project guidance and feedback.
  • The linked parent/guardian, for progress visibility and consent management.
  • The partner NGO or school, for project coordination — only the information needed for that project.
  • Authorised SelexIQ administrators, for programme oversight and safeguarding.

We never sell personal data to third parties.

5. Your rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Withdraw consent for publication of student work at any time.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to safeguarding and legal retention requirements.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Data retention

We retain account and project data for the duration of programme participation and a reasonable period thereafter for evidence verification and safeguarding records. Consent records are retained per applicable legal requirements.
